Teaching Music Theory to a child?
When you are Teaching Music Theory to a child there are a few things to take into account. For one thing, children need constant repetition – they need to do things on a routine basis, and by practicing doing elementary music worksheets regularly you’ll find that children will quickly get the theoretical knowledge that you need. Music theory with children shouldn’t be ignored – it is too easy to get taken away with teaching them creative skills and skills which are designed just for the school concert. We must teach the whole child – and teaching children music is a wonderful gift that we can give them for life.
