Is It Easier to Play a Guitar if You Can Read Music?
Many people would say that it doesn’t matter whether you read music or not and that it doesn’t matter if you play used guitars or new ones. While that may be true in some instances, when you are playing in a group or band, it definitely makes a difference whether or not you are able to read music.
If you are rehearsing and someone wants to change a piece of the music, how will you know what they are talking about? If you don’t know a bar chord from a scale or a G chord from an E, it will make it very hard to communicate what you are talking about.
