Debt Consolidation Conquered Our Mountain Of Debt
We just found out that my husband was going to lose his job in the next three months. We had a mountain of debt that we have slowly been trying to pay off. So, we decided to take out a debt consolidation mortgage on our home. We had the equity and felt this would be our best option. When we qualified for the loan, we paid off all of our credit cards and financial loans. We were able to do this and keep our monthly mortgage payment around the same amount we had been paying. This way we would be able to live off of just one paycheck, until my husband was able to find work.
