Foreclosure is Not an Option
My brother is a hard-working blue-collar man who finally bought his dream home a few years ago. He and his wife had worked and saved for years to buy their very cute three-bedroom home in a nice neighborhood. When the economy took a downturn and he lost his job, he told me that he refused to lose his home – foreclosure was not an option. He and his wife researched loan modification companies and found one which helped them alter their mortgage to a fixed rate they can afford, even with reduced income. Although they have lost their high-paying jobs, the couple is overjoyed that they still have everything that’s really important, including their cosy home.
