Have a Current Physical When Applying for Offshore Jobs
One thing that everybody that I spoke to about offshore jobs told me that I should get taken care of right away was to get a physical. The reason for this advice is because this is something that most employers are looking for. Because so many different people told me the same thing I made sure to schedule myself an appointment at the doctor right away. Now when I send my resume for the jobs that I am applying for I can say that I have got a current physical. I am hoping that this will give me a little bit of an edge over other applicants who may not have been told that the offshore employers are looking for this, and that maybe I will get hired on somewhere a little bit quicker.
