Galley kitchens or a small working kitchen is not much wanted anymore in a new home. There are lots of good galley kitchen design ideas but you can only fit so much in a galley kitchen. Houses built in the 1970′s were made to have more space dedicated to the living room or family room. Home buyers now have a choice and most love the idea of a large family style kitchen, perhaps even a breakfast bar and an open concept cooking area. Some modern kitchens include wine coolers and a stove in full view of everyone to watch the chef create. Walls have been taken down and the great room has been born. When walking into the most popular kitchens now you will see countertops of granite and some even have an island in the center, also with a granite countertop. The more roomier the better as many buyers will walk away from a galley kitchen today.
