Stacy didn’t go to class that day, so Marianne dropped by her house to make sure she was okay. Marianne found Stacy engaged in a furious phone conversation. When Stacy saw Marianne, she released a few more expletives into the telephone, unplugged it, and threw it against the wall. “What happened?” Marianne asked, shocked. “Those idiots at Computers for Much, Much Less just sold me a defective laptop, and they’re refusing to give me a refund or at least exchange it for a working one!
