Words She Could Understand

It wasn’t hard for me to decide to adopt a child. I couldn’t have any of my own, so the idea of accepting a child who needed a chance really appealed to me. However, I was a little scared when I found out that the only language my child could speak was German. I didn’t know how we were going to communicate with each other, and none of my friends were much help. So I ordered an intensive german course and just dove right in. By the time my daughter arrived, I was able to speak to her in words she could understand.
